Kristine Anderson, LL.B.
Called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2001, Ontario bar in 2002
Kristine received her LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 2000 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2001. Prior to attending law school, Kristine graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (Painting and Art History). After relocating to Toronto, Kristine was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002 and joined Basman Smith in 2004.
She practices in all aspects of civil and commercial litigation and has developed a particular expertise and interest in condominium law, representing a wide array of unit owners, condominium corporations and condominium managers in disputes.
Kristine also maintains an active practice in the areas of business contractual disputes, commercial tenancy litigation and construction lien matters, shareholder and partnership issues. She also represents both employers and employees in wrongful dismissal disputes before the courts and tribunals.
She is a member of the Canadian Condominium Institute, the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, the Advocates’ Society, the Women’s Law Association of Ontario and, the Toronto Lawyers Association and Kristine acts as a mentor to young lawyers through the Ontario Bar Association mentorship program. Kristine has coordinated several non-profit organizations and community outreach programs and remains active in Toronto in these areas.
Kristine is an avid cyclist and continues to develop her strong interest in the Arts and Culture.
