Chantalle Fish, B.A. (Hons.), J.D.

Admitted to the New York bar in 2009, Called to the Ontario bar in 2011

Chantalle Fish obtained her law degree from Queen’s University, where she received numerous academic awards and distinctions, including course prizes for earning top marks in contract law and public law, as well as being named the Dean’s Bronze Scholar.

Chantalle is a member of both the Ontario and New York bars. During her tenure in New York, she practiced civil litigation at a large international law firm, focusing on securities, business torts, contract disputes, and white-collar crime. She also maintained an active pro bono practice in which she advocated for victims of political persecution seeking asylum in the United States.

In 2011, Chantalle changed her focus from civil litigation to family law. This shift allowed her to integrate her undergraduate background in psychology - which focused on the impact of co-parenting on marital satisfaction - into the challenging practice of family law.

Chantalle is an associate in Basman Smith’s highly respected family law group, where she continues to hone her considerable skills as an advocate in all types of family disputes.
