Patrick Summers B.A., LL.B.

Called to the bar in 1985

Patrick was born in Montreal, Quebec and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He obtained his B.A. from The Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1980 and his LL.B from Osgoode Hall, Toronto, Ontario in 1983.

Since his admission to the Ontario Bar in 1985, Patrick has practiced exclusively in the area of Civil Litigation, with an emphasis on Commercial disputes.

Patrick has substantial experience in conducting trials and appeals. His areas of practice in litigation include representing both plaintiffs and defendants in contractual disputes, construction lien litigation, shareholder/partnership disagreements, and other areas including property, mortgage and insurance disputes.

He has been an instructor in the Civil Litigation Section of the Bar Admission Course of the Law Society of Upper Canada and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.

Patrick’s clients are individuals and corporations in the manufacturing, television and radio media, construction and development industries, among others. His focus is client service with frequent communication and frank discussions about a client’s overall needs in dealing with litigation.
